Cactus Triathlon Camp 2026

Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement

  • Event Dates: February 26 – March 2, 2026
  • Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
  • Organizer: PG Triathlon Coaching (“PG Squad”)

1. Registration and Payment Terms

To secure participation in the Cactus Triathlon Camp 2026 (“Event” or “Camp”), a non-refundable deposit is required by January 5, 2026.

  • Deposits received after this date will only be accepted if space remains available.
  • Remaining balances (if applicable) must be paid in full by February 1, 2026 to maintain registration status.

The full board included in the camp fee provides daily breakfast and one main group meal per day (either lunch or dinner, as scheduled). Participants are responsible for all additional meals, snacks, and personal expenses.

2. Waiver and Assumption of Risk

IN CONSIDERATION of PG Triathlon Coaching (“PG Squad”) allowing me to participate in triathlon coaching activities, group training, or organized events (collectively, the “Event” or “Events”), I, for myself, and on behalf of my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby agree to the following contractual representations pursuant to this Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement (the “Agreement”):

I represent that:
(i) I am in good health and proper physical condition to participate in the Event; and
(ii) I am not under the influence of alcohol, illicit drugs, or any prescription medication that would impair my ability to safely participate.

I understand that it is my sole responsibility to determine whether I am physically and mentally fit to take part in the Event and to seek medical clearance if necessary.

3. Acknowledgement of Risks

I understand and acknowledge the physical and mental rigors associated with triathlon, duathlon, and related endurance training. I recognize that running, cycling, swimming, and other camp activities are inherently dangerous and represent an extreme test of a person’s limits.

Participation involves known and unknown risks, including but not limited to:

  • Serious bodily injury, illness, or death
  • Equipment damage or loss
  • Collisions with participants, vehicles, or fixed objects
  • Adverse weather or environmental conditions
  • Water, road, and surface hazards
  • Equipment failure or inadequate safety measures
  • Participant error, inexperience, or negligence
  • Circumstances beyond the control of event organizers

I fully understand these risks may result from my own actions, the actions of others, or the negligence of the Released Parties (defined below), and I voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, and accept full responsibility for my participation.

4. Compliance and Conduct

I agree to follow all Event rules, including applicable USA Triathlon (USAT) competitive regulations and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) guidelines regarding prohibited substances and methods.
I accept full responsibility for my conduct, behavior, and the condition of any equipment I use.

5. Release, Waiver, and Indemnification

I hereby Release, Waive, and Covenant Not to Sue, and further agree to Indemnify, Defend, and Hold Harmless the following parties: PG Triathlon Coaching (“PG Squad”), USA Triathlon, Cactus Camp affiliates, sponsors, and venue partners, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including those caused wholly or partly by the negligence of the Released Parties. If I, or anyone acting on my behalf, brings a claim against any Released Party, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from any resulting loss, damage, or expense.

6. Acknowledgment of Understanding.

By submitting the Cactus Camp Registration Form and completing my camp registration, I confirm that I have carefully read this Agreement, fully understand its terms, and acknowledge that I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the rights of my heirs and assigns.

I also acknowledge that I enter camp freely and voluntarily, without inducement, and intend for it to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

We will have a copy of this waiver for signing at camp!
